The Micro Motion Kinetics team had an excellent time racing for Kinetic glory this year, our team members pulled together with some fantastic results. It was so much fun to see all of our co-workers and their kids at the events supporting our team. The race was very close, the difference in points was very small. I have attached the results of the race if you’re interested in seeing the detail.
The Nurse Shark and Nurses, made a big splash at the event. Friday night at Festival on Main Street Longmont, John Shandy made sure that all of the little kids heard that the Shark Nurse was hungry. We had hundreds of photos shot of kids in the belly of the beast. Tim Smith and Amy McAlister along with Maggie & Mira Smith and Johanna Taxacher, made everyone feel safe from a shark bite, when taking a closer look and the Shark. Randy Maez with his daughter Jenny along with Patrick Valdez propelled the Shark through the water at a breakneck speed. The land crew made up of Mike Tongwarin, Tim Smith and Jonathan Sterner, struggle to keep up with pilots navigating the water. We finished the Race in second place for the second year in a row, next year we are going to have to push even harder. As many of you are aware that our Kinetics craft is a one of a kind creation that from time to time breaks down. This year prior to the race we were surprised to find the land steering literally falling off in my hands. With some redesign support from Ben Manthey, and Dick Woolf we had the machine race ready and it is now performing better than ever before. Race day we had Randy McNeff keeping all of the teams safe floating his boat just waiting to help a team in need of rescue, and for the first time ever all of the teams that started the race also finished. A big thank you to the human resources department for their continued support of the Micro Motion Kinetics Team.
